Relaxation: 2 Minute Check-In

How often do you check-in with yourself? Sometimes we can go for days holding tension in the body and mind without even noticing.

Take a moment each day to check-in with yourself. It only takes a minute or two…

🌻 Breathe a little deeper, allowing the breath to fill the belly. Shallow chest-breathing can add to feelings of anxiety.

🌻 Release any tension from your shoulders with a couple of shoulder rolls. Make space between your shoulders and your ears by sliding the shoulder blades down your back.

🌻 Soften the space between your eyebrows (the third eye) by relaxing the forehead muscles. Imagine smoothing away any tension in that area.

🌻 Relax the jaw by gently opening the mouth and sliding the heels of your hands down the sides of your face. Maybe even give yourself a gentle massage around the jaw bones.
